Course Description

This course builds upon our previous subtle expression training course and will teach you how to read subtle, partial and hidden facial expressions of emotion.

*We highly recommend you’ve completed the CE Course: Improving Emotion Detection Skills in Therapeutic Settings before purchasing this course*

This course will teach psychologists why emotions exists and will provide them with the skillset to define and recognize subtle, partial and hidden expressions in others. Learning these skills will help them see how others really feel and label it quickly and accurately.

Learning Objectives

(1) Accurately define subtle, partial and hidden facial expressions of emotion and their differences

(2) Quickly recognize and label subtle, partial and hidden facial expressions of emotion

(3) Describe the concept of display rules in relation to emotion expression

Additional Information

Format and Length:

Recorded video format (non-interactive). Total running time 60 minutes.

Instructional Level:

Introductory training for psychologists, psychiatrists, and mental health professionals.

Completion Requirements:

To obtain your CE certificate, you must progress through all course segments and readings, and obtain a score of 80% or higher on a post-test. Users will have a maximum of 3 attempts to complete the post-test at 80% proficiency.

Post Test and Course Evaluation:

After watching course video, the post-test will be available to complete, along the course evaluation.

Who Should Attend:

Psychologists, counselors, masters or doctoral level clinical social workers, and marriage and family therapists.
