The 2012 London Olympics are drawing to a close and we have witnessed many inspiring, emotional and phenomenal performances these past two weeks.
We previously featured various blog posts about an athlete’s ability to control their emotions while competing. We picked the brains of two London Olympic Athletes, including Olympic Champion Kayla Harrison and Olympic Bronze Medalist Marti Malloy on how they manage their emotions in such intense situations.
Now it’s time to put yourself to the test. Do you think you’re good at managing stress? Can you compete under pressure?
Take this test developed by BBC that seeks to answer questions like: How well can you compete under pressure? What are the underlying emotions that drive your performance in competitive or stressful situations? Are you capable of keeping your emotions in check when it really matters?
The test takes roughly 20 minutes and determines how well you perform under stressful conditions by asking simple background questions and then focuses on how well participants are able to channel their emotions to help, or hurt, their performance in a competitive setting.
