“I like this one because it is like puzzlement and fear blended together. It’s difficult to get that much upper eyelid raise in a fake expression (though not impossible and certainly possible for many people),” noted Dr. Matsumoto.
What are your observations/comments on Ellen’s photo?
appears to fear, but it also appears that she has suffered from a stroke in the past so the expression is only showing on the one side of her face
Aaron – thank you for your comment. It is important to note that this is a posed expression and that posed expressions are generally not symmetrical on the face.
As far a a possible stroke, we do not have that information regarding this submission but it is a possibility.
